Chandeliers are elegant and beautiful. They are also fragile, intricate, expensive, and hard to clean! To maintain a chandelier's brilliance, a maximum amount of light must be refracted by its numerous faceted crystals. Dirt or other films on the crystal surfaces result in an unattractive dullness, ruining a chandelier's brilliance.

Our Process

We start out by laying down large padded blankets underneath the chandelier to catch any falling crystals. Then we remove all dust from the framework of your chandelier and polish each crystal one by one with an anti-static cleaner that contains no ammonia or alcohol. This special cleaner not only polishes the crystals, but also puts a protective coating on the surface to repel dust and also make the surface more resistant to scratches. Most ammonia based cleaners may destroy crystals, so it is very important to use the correct cleaners.

While cleaning each crystal, we are also checking the small metal attachments that connect the crystals. Many times the metal hooks and loops that connect each piece can begin to sag under the weight of the crystal and simply need to be tightened. We will make sure all of these connections are sound as we clean the chandelier.

After we are done cleaning the chandelier crystals, we unscrew all of the light bulbs and polish them. We would also be happy to replace burnt out bulbs if replacement bulbs are provided.

If you have the glass cage type chandelier, the same care is taken to polish every piece of glass and each bulb while also removing all dust from the metal structure of the chandelier.
